More Than a Destination
Japan is not just another travel destination. For me, it felt more like an experience.
Tokyo was a huge part of that. I went there with my camera, but I quickly realised there was much more to take in than just the places I wanted to photograph. The streets, the food, the trains, the small restaurants, the quiet neighbourhoods, the crowds and the people all became part of the trip.
What I enjoyed most was how different everything could feel from one street to the next. You can be surrounded by people, lights and huge buildings, then turn a corner and find a quiet little street that feels completely different.
And of course, the food. I honestly could have spent the whole trip just eating. From small local restaurants to simple meals from convenience stores, everything felt like part of the experience.
The people also made Japan special for me. There was a kindness and attention to detail in everyday life that I noticed everywhere I went.
I didn't want to spend the whole trip ticking off famous places from a list. I wanted to walk around, get a little lost, try things, take photos and see what happened.
These photos are my way of remembering that experience and sharing a little bit of what Japan felt like through my eyes.
